Carl Darbouze’s return to professional MMA will take center stage when he faces Chaz Blevins in the main event of NLC 49 on October 10, 2026, at the Boyd Convention and Arts Center in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
Representing MMA Science Academy in Hialeah, Florida, Darbouze enters the professional light heavyweight matchup with a 3–2 record and an opportunity to write a new chapter in his fighting career.
Darbouze already has a connection to NLC championship success as a coach and teammate of reigning NLC Flyweight Champion Christian Ynastrilla. Now, he will step into the spotlight himself against Blevins.
His professional career began in June 2012 with a first-round knockout of Damion Williams. Across his three professional victories, Darbouze has won by knockout, submission, and unanimous decision, demonstrating multiple paths to getting his hand raised.
His most recent recorded bout also ended with a finish. On April 26, 2018, Darbouze submitted Oscar Delgado at 4:36 of the opening round. With more than eight years separating that appearance from NLC 49, his return adds another layer of intrigue to the main event.
Standing across from him will be Chaz Blevins, with the opportunity to spoil Darbouze’s comeback and claim a main-event victory of his own.
